How Is Water Purified?
Purified water is a tremendous advance in water treatment technology and light years cleaner than filtered water. After the source water is filtered through activated carbon pre filters, it is forced at high pressure through a microscopic membrane, which rejects the maximum amount of contaminants present in the water. The purified water is then stored in a holding tank until you need it. This process is known as Reverse Osmosis and is commonly referred to as RO. It is as pure as distilled water but tastes much better.

Membranes: The TFC membranes used on Whole House RO System. An average system’s membrane can make 2,350 gallons per day or 1.6 gallons per minute. A larger system’s membrane can make 4,600 gallons per day or 3.2 gallons per minute. For estate size homes there are even larger capacity TFC membranes that can make up to and over 10,000 gallons per day.

We had our Clean Water America Whole House Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment System installed about a year ago and have been extremely satisfied with our decision to implement this system into our home. The quality of the water is outstanding. No more rust spots in our sinks, mildew in our commodes or foul smelling water. We also signed up for the monthly maintenance with Clean Water America and they are always prompt, friendly and thorough. We would not hesitate to recommend this company and their products to anyone looking to incorporate a similar system.

I have been a customer of Clean Water America since April of 2006. My well water has a high in sulfur and iron content. In August of 2008, CWA installed a Whole House Reverse Osmosis System, and have been on a service agreement with them since that time. I have found their service to be impeccable. The system has been trouble free and our water is fantastic. I have had occasion to call them for repairs numerous times. However, this was not due to the system they installed, but the fact that my well, drilled in 1984, was only a two-inch well, and the water pumps (yes, plural) would lose prime, heat up, and need rebuilt or replaced. When these things would happen, Clean Water America was always there to help, even on weekends or holidays. In April of 2012, I had a new, deeper well drilled. The new well is much deeper, four inches in diameter rather then two inches, and has a submersible water pump (which I purchased from Clean Water America) which is much quieter and much more efficient than an above-ground pump. I consulted with Clean Water America before drilling the new well. Their advice was invaluable. Since the new well was drilled, Clean Water America has only been to my house on their scheduled service days to maintain my Whole House Reverse Osmosis System. The system works like a charm, and Clean Water America keeps it tuned like a Ferrari. I have a lot of company at my house, and I use a lot of RO (reverse osmosis) water. The RO system Clean Water America has always kept me well supplied with excellent water. I raise tropical fish, and use the RO water for my aquariums. I run the water directly from the tap into the aquarium without treating it. I once changed the water in my 50-gallon aquarium and refilled it with untreated well water. What was I thinking? My fish went into shock immediately and started dying. I hurriedly drained out the untreated well water and replaced it with the RO water, and the fish immediately began improving. I lost two beautiful angelfish, but the rest were saved because I had great RO water available. I also use the RO system to keep my 20000 gallon swimming pool water level at the proper level. My untreated well water turns my pool green within two hours of adding it to my pool. The RO water is crystal clear. Whether you have a water softener, an RO system, or are still in the market, I would recommend Clean Water America to you. Their systems are high quality, their technicians and knowledgeable and efficient, their office staff is friendly and eager to serve your needs, and their service is impeccable. I have been extremely pleased with Clean Water America, and I’m sure you will be as well.Jeff Thomas
